Delete your Social Break account

You can delete your account yourself at any time. It happens straight away and can’t be undone.

In the Android app

  1. Open Social Break and go to the Settings tab.
  2. Tap Delete Account.
  3. Confirm with your password - or, if you sign in with Google, type DELETE.

On the website

  1. Log in at social-break.com.
  2. Open the account menu at the top right and choose Settings.
  3. Choose Delete Account and confirm the same way.

Can’t sign in?

Reset your password with Forgot password and then follow the steps above. If that doesn’t work, email socialbreakproject@gmail.com from the address on your account and ask for it to be deleted - we’ll do it within 30 days and confirm by email.

What gets deleted

Feedback you left on articles is kept without anything linking it to you. Records of payments are kept for accounting, as the law requires - by Stripe and Google Play, and on our side without anything that identifies you.

Deleting some of your data, without deleting your account

You don’t have to close your account to remove what’s in it:

For anything else — or to have a category removed in one go — email socialbreakproject@gmail.com from the address on your account and say what you want deleted. We’ll do it within 30 days and confirm by email. Deleted data is removed from our database; backups holding it are overwritten within 7 days.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account cancels Premium bought on the website. If you bought Premium in the Android app, cancel it in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, because Google handles that billing.

More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
